Staying healthy depends on three aspects of your life: Spiritual, Mental and Physical. Many of you don't need to be convinced of the scientific reasons why you should transition to a better diet. However, many of you need to know how to make the transition. Here are 7 steps you can take to start taking better care of yourself.
1. It is estimated that 80% of our medical disorders and diseases have spiritual roots.
Diseases such as heart disease, cancer, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, osteoporosis, sleep disorders, and many more illnesses that medical science has an inability to cure have been demonstrated to have underlying roots of fear, resentment, anger, jealousy, rage, and countless other deadly emotions. Dealing with these on a spiritual level have brought hope and healing to many.
2. Start using vitamins as a way to supplement your diet.
Start with a good multi-vitamin. Women need lots of iron during child bearing years. Calcium is needed for healthy bones - while we are children we get our calcium needs from milk, but most adults need to supplement their diet with calcium to help prevent osteoporosis and thinning of the bones while aging. Extra Vitamin B and C will ensure better resistance to diseases and increased energy levels.
3. Drink and cook with pure water.
Our bodies are 75% water and we need at least eight glasses of pure water daily to cleanse away impurities and toxins. Chemical contamination of our water supply by such things as MTBE, arsenic, trihalomethanes (chlorine disinfection by-products) is increasingly being implicated in a wide range of medical disorders. Over 1000 contaminants have been found in our nation's drinking water. Purchase a good filtration system in your home; change the filters regularly. Drink distilled water whenever possible. Most bottled water is reprocessed tap water and is even held to less regulation than tap water. Do some research and find a quality bottled water.
4. Eliminate refined sugar from your diet.
Cooking with sweeteners such as honey, Stevia, maple syrup, and fructose surprisingly offer great taste without adversely affecting the bloods sugar levels. Many Americans become diabetic in their later years due to excessive sugar consumption during their lifetime. Keep in mind that potatoes, white rice, corn (and by products of corn) bread, white flour, carrots and beets all turn to sugar in our digestive system.
5. Increase your consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Most nutrition experts recommend five servings or more of fruits and vegetables a day. The sweet potato is your friend. Steam your veggies in an enamel lined pot, or at least make sure is it not made of aluminum, add a little quality water while preparing.
Salads are a great way to get your daily intake of veggies in - take care when choosing a dressing - one cannot go wrong with virgin cold pressed olive oil and apple cider or wine vinegar.
6. Reduce your use of fast food or processed food.
Instead of getting commercially prepared pizza with it's white flour, hydrogenated oils, sugar, etc. What tastes better than home baked pizza for a Friday night treat? Your taste buds will gradually adjust to the new healthier way of eating and you'll never go back to the old ways.
7. Get regular yearly medical check-ups.
Early detection of any medical condition will increase your chances of overcoming it. Cutting down on medications or getting them changed if you are not feeling right is a very important part of being healthy, too. Do not put off important 'gut feelings' that something is wrong - make sure. Just getting a great medical report can really improve your well being and health.
Coral calcium benefits us by fighting against many ailments when the body has adequate levels of this important mineral. An adequate daily intake of coral calcium benefits us (1,000-1,500 mg) along with magnesium and potassium by working to control blood pressure by helping to regulate the amount of sodium your body retains.
Your body requires calcium. If it doesn't get it from your diet, it will steal it from your bones, putting you at risk for osteoporosis.
Our Coral Calcium is not harvested from living coral reefs or even from the ocean environment but from above-ground sources in Okinawa in an ecologically friendly manner. In this Coral Calcium Plus formula, Magnesium and Vitamin D have been added because of their essential role in bone metabolism.
